You may have already read elsewhere on this blog that I went to college with my son. At the community college where we started, there were 3 or 4 other parent/child student pairs. It wasn’t until we transferred to a university that my son was willing to let me actually take the same class as he, but he was barely 16 when we began and I understood that he wanted to be his own person. Still, we did support each other. He helped me with my (successful) campaign for student senate secretary, I provided transportation & helped with the paperwork (financial aid forms and other tedious ‘must dos”), and we helped each other with homework. It really was a great experience.
This video shows a mother and daughter who went to college together. It looks like they had a great experience too.

I’m so proud of my longtime friend Ev Barney for this great site. Did you know my mother’s dissertation had something to do with Lifelong Learning? or something to that effect. She would be proud of you too.
EMILY! So glad you came by! Hope to talk to you soon.
